INNKEEPER'S WIFE

ROOM FOR THE LORD

There in the sky is a star that is brighter than all the rest.
Oh how I wish that we didn’t say no to that man’s request
I thought we were full and had no room for them to spare.
We sent them away in thoughtless haste with such despair.

I wish that I made room for the Lord the night that He was born.
I did not know that she bore the son, that came to save the world.

We went to the stable to find the babe and praise his name.
When we arrived the family had left we’d come too late.
It was no longer safe for the sog of God to stay.
I wanted to tell them to come back with us, we’ll keep them safe.

I wish that I made room for the Lord the night that He was born.
I did not know that she bore the son, that came to save the world.

Everyone talks of a man who heals the sick and lame
His message of love and hope for sinners is all the same.
Can it be true even I receive forgiveness too.
His power so great to make me whole...my life renewed!

I wish that I made room for the Lord the night that He was born.
Now I know that he is my Lord, who that came to save the world.

WISEMAN

(This will be sung by Jonathan Litchfield's beautiful voice NOT MINE!)

GLORY TO GOD

A decree from Caesar Augustus,
That all the world should be taxed.
Joseph the carpenter with his wife,
Took journey from Nazareth.
Joseph sought shelter in Bethlehem,
But all the doors were closed.
When day turned to night and the travelers knew,
They had no where to go…

Where will the Lord, lay his head tonight,
Why must our Savior, so humbly arrive.
Mary laid him in a manger,
And angels sing Hallelujah,
Glory to God in the highest.

King Herod sent men out to find Him,
The wisemen followed the star.
They fell down and worshipped the Christ child,
After traveling so far.
An angel told Mary and Joseph,
Take this child to Egypt and flee.
Into the night they departed,
To spare the newborn king.

Where will the Lord, lay his head tonight,
Why must our Savior, be taken to hide,
Jesus is raised in Judea,
And the angels sing Hallelujah,
Glory to God in the highest.

Thirty years gone, now Gethsemane,
Christ prays to God.
Let this cup pass from be,
But thy will be done.
He asks his disciples to watch him,
But they abandon their posts,
Now on this night, the darkest of nights,
Jesus is all alone.

Where will the Lord lay his head tonight,
Why must our Savior give freely his life,
Jesus atones for humanity
And the angels sing Hallelujah,
Glory to God in the highest.
Glory to God int the highest.
Peace on earth and goodwill to men.
Peace on earth and goodwill to men.

All creatures still tonight.

Christ is born, tonight,
Son of God, He has come.

Shepherds watching, Mary rocking,
The baby sleeps tonight.

Christ is born now, in this manger,
The king of kings, tonight.

A Savior for us all!

Finale

Let the world know it is Christmas
Let them know that Christ is here.
Tell the people every nation
How the king of kings appeared.

He was given to this earth
From God the Father He gave His Son
And he came to pay the price for
All the people...everyone

Let the world know it is Christmas
Let them know that Christ was born.

Translators please translate the both verses and we will choose later which will be best suited.

MARY

I'll hold you in, my arms tonight.
I will begin to feel your light.
Please God help me raise thy son,
Our greatest gift, thy begotten one.

I'll watch you sleep my little boy,
While angels sing of love and joy.
Oh let the world know he's here,
Now, rest your head...God is Near.
